Robbers target Quality Poultry delivery truck

But the driver of a Quality Poultry delivery truck was more fortunate. Just after three p.m. today two thieves approached the vehicle, which was delivering chickens and turkeys for an upcoming wedding in Hattieville, and fired several shots at the occupants. None of the bullets hit their target and while one of the men ran into the customer’s home for cover, the driver was knocked unconscious with a gun. Both assailants, who wore masks, then tried to enter the house but were locked out by one of the residents. The customers called 911, but everything was over before the police arrived… even though the house is a stone’s throw away from the station. Nothing was stolen during the ordeal, which was reported to our newsroom by a witness whose name will not be revealed for safety reasons.
