Weekend RTA Claims Life of Woman in Cotton Tree Village

On Saturday night, another person lost her life in a road traffic accident. According to police, forty-eight-year-old Ana Rivera was inside a Lincoln Navigator with fifty-one-year-old Joshua Aguilar, heading to Belmopan, when their vehicle collided into a Ford Ranger pickup. Rivero lost her life in that incident. ACP Hilberto Romero tells us more.

“On Saturday the thirteenth day of January, 2024, police responded to a fatal accident between mile forty-five and forty-six on the George Price Highway. Upon their arrival they saw a Lincoln navigator vehicle and a Ford Ranger Pickup extensively damaged. Inside the Lincoln Navigator was Joshua Aguilar and Ana Rivero. Inside the Ford Pickup was Taria Duran. As a result, Ana Rivero succumbed to her injuries. The other persons are in stable condition. An investigation is being carried out into this report. Thereafter a determination will be made if any charges will be levied.”
