Suspect charged with robbery of Marlin’s Restaurant

Story PicturePolice have made an arrest in last Tuesday afternoon’s armed robbery of Marlin’s Restaurant. One of the men police believe is responsible for the crime is thirty-one year old David White of Castle Street in Belize City. This morning White appeared in Magistrates’ Court where he was arraigned on four counts of robbery; three counts for the Marlins jacking and one for another robbery two days earlier. In that incident, fifty-two year old Maria Aguilar reported to police that she was walking on Queen Street when she was approached by a man who held her up at gunpoint and stole her purse containing fifteen dollars and a cell phone. White pleaded not guilty to all the charges and was remanded to Hattieville Prison until February twenty-sixth. Police, in the meantime, are looking for White’s accomplice in robbing the Marlins staff and customers of cash and valuables.
