More files of surveyed sea for sale uncovered

No one from the Ministry of Natural Resources has been able to provide any feedback to News Five on the survey done on a nine-acre portion of the Caribbean Sea. Since Tuesday of this week we have been trying to reach either the C.E.O. in the Ministry of Natural Resources, Beverly Castillo or the Commissioner of Lands, Manuel Rodriguez, for an update to the story we aired last week. At the time, neither one could give us a situation report because they had only become aware of the survey pegs that had been placed in the sea following our story. Both Castillo and Rodriguez said they would meet with the Minister of Natural Resources, Gaspar Vega last Friday afternoon to discuss the matter and that they would get back to us following that meeting. However, almost a week later our efforts to reach either one for comment have been unsuccessful as we’ve been repeatedly told that they are either away from their desks or in meetings. But this particular survey done for the Eiley family in San Pedro is only the tip of the iceberg as News Five has obtained copies of many more cases in which the sea has been surveyed for sale to other prominent families.
