Belizean woman fatally shot in Guatemala

There’s another murder to report tonight. The life of a Belizean was taken mid afternoon in neighboring Guatemala. News Five has learnt that twenty-eight year old Wendy Navarette was shot to death today in Guatemala City as she headed to pick up one of her children from school.  Details are trickling in and when News Five contacted the brother of the deceased, Doctor Mauricio Navarette of the Belize Healthcare Partners Limited, he was about to board a flight to Guatemala city. He confirmed the murder and told News Five that he had very little details of his sister’s murder.  It is also known that the fatal shot hit her on the back of the head.  Family members say the motive in the senseless murder is unknown. Wendy was an employee of Chevron Central America in Guatemala City.
