San Pedro police make drug bust at pawn shop…
Last week, more than fifty pounds of cocaine washed up in San Pedro AC in what is believed to be an earlier wet drop. Police picked up the drugs and handed it over to the Anti-Drug Unit. But it does not mean the white stuff is not circulating and only Wednesday the police department made a small drug bust in the island.
Officers carried out a search at the Tree Brothers Pawn Shop on Pelican Street where they discovered one nine millimeter pistol, one magazine containing twelve live rounds and a box containing fifty live rounds. They conducted a body search on twenty year old Juan Lopez, on whom they found a plastic bag containing thirty-nine small packets which had a combined thirteen point nine grams of cocaine. Nineteen year old David Maldonado, who was present at the time, was jointly charged with Juan Lopez for Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm and Ammunition. Lopez was additionally charged for the offence of Drug Trafficking.
