Fisherman charged for having almost 1lb of cannabis

In other news from the courts, fifty-three year old Carlos Lauriano, who was busted with just under one pound of cannabis, was fined ten thousand dollars when he appeared in court today. Lauriano, a fisherman was apprehended on Tuesday by the cops when he was seen acting suspiciously. He was promptly taken to court, pleaded guilty to the charge of Drug Trafficking and was given until June thirtieth to pay the fine or serve three years behind bars. Police wereon patrol on Cairo Street when they spotted Lauriano. He was searched and nothing was found on his person but in a bag on his bicycle police unearthed the cannabis.
