Man admits to stealing from neighbour
Turning to the courts, thirty-nine year old Ernest Vasquez took the short road to prison and pleaded guilty to Theft when he was brought before Magistrate Aretha Ford today. This comes on heels of a report by his neighbor Lisa Green that items valuing one thousand two hundred dollars were stolen from inside her car including seats, panels and pitchers. Vasquez was caught in the act on October thirteenth when Green saw him removing the items and quickly called police. He took off running, but was later caught by the cops and his guilty plea closed the case and landed him in jail for one year. A non-custodial sentence could not be imposed because Vasquez has two previous theft convictions.
