PG resident chopped and killed in Roaring Creek
The weekend’s second murder took place fifty miles away in Roaring Creek, also on Friday night. Twenty-nine year old Keith Sambula is believed to have been killed and dumped near the Belize River that runs through the village. The Punta Gorda resident was staying at a Roaring Creek house where party was in full swing when he was killed. The police say they responded to a report of a chopping incident at the house and when they headed to the site, the blood stains led them to another spot where they retrieved Sambula’s body. Officer Commanding the Belmopan Crimes Investigations Branch, Sergeant Solomon Westby, shared with us the details police have gathered thus far.

“This guy, he was identified as twenty-nine year old Keith Sambula right? He lived at the house where the blood was found, yes?”
Sgt. Solomon Westby
“He was staying at the house of one of his friends. He was there for a couple days now. We found him with chop wounds to the head and so far that is what we have so far noh. Information was that there was a party in the Mills’ family yard and everybody was socializing there. Information we received is that there was some kind of misunderstanding and this is how the life of Mr. Sambula ended.”
