David ‘Ras Indio’ Obi, Artist
“It’s all about the righteousness. The music that I always have and spread out to the people is always filled with nothing positive vibes. And as you can tell, the album is called ‘Jah Bless Us’, which is a statement for each and every one of us worldwide. It’s a good album of good righteous reggae music again all the way from Belize. Right now the message goes out to each and every one of you, just stay positive and stay righteous inna yuh heart. Be persistent and determined in what you want and you could achieve your goals. I did it you know and I am still reaching out for more.”

“The new album Jah Bless Us will feature Luciano, Turbulence, Chesideck, Youth and Fire, Norisman. Me ah tell yoh seh it’s a worldwide thing—Ras Attitude from Saint Croix and Dynasty Crew from Seattle, Washington. That’s why the album is called Jah Bless Us because it’s a unification effort.”

Duane Moody
“What would you say is your best track on there and why?”

David ‘Ras Indio’ Obi
“The one with Luciano because the power of the most high is within each and every one of us and that song is truly and truly a big song but each and every song is a hit. Right now, for our society and our situation, I’d like to say politicians dem a fraud yeah.”

Duane Moody
“Any future endevours here and future performance here in Belize?”

David ‘Ras Indio’ Obi
“Well yeah man. I feel like I kinda left mi people them stranded a bit for the last three years. You noh really hear nothing about Ras Indio performing. So, hopefully coming up February fourteenth, Valentines Day look out for Ras Indio opening up for Beres Hammond right here in the Civic Centre possibly or the Princess Hotel. Just keep your ear to the ground, but it’s going to be a big show.”

‘Jah Bless Us’ is available at music stores countrywide. The video for the single ‘Them Ah Fraud’ will be released soon.
