Prime Minister Barrow to marry in Savannah, Georgia
The only official announcements came in the form of invitations to guests… but news of the Prime Minister’s impending nuptials has gotten the attention of the U.S. media. Why you ask? Because when he marries long-time girlfriend Kim Simpliss on February seventh, Prime Minister Dean Barrow will be saying his “I do’s” in Savannah, Georgia. The mother of the bride, Juva Fernandez, resides in Savannah, which is one of the reasons why the location was chosen. The other, Simpliss is quoted as saying that it is because they wanted a private wedding away from all the fuss. The ceremony will be officiated by Anglican Bishop of Belize, the Right Reverend Philip Wright at the Episcopal Church of St. Paul the Apostle; with the reception to take place at Marshall House. The couple has a three year old daughter, who will be a flower girl at the ceremony to which over a hundred persons are invited. Channel Five wishes Barrow and Simpliss all the best and if you missed it, the wedding date is the first anniversary of Barrow’s ascension to the office of the Prime Minister.
