Tek It or Leave It’s first male plays for $10,000

Channel Five is upping the stakes in its popular weekly Game Show Tek it or Leave It. So to start the year on a good foot, Carlos Lara had the opportunity to take home ten thousand dollars in cash. He played last Wednesday strategically hoping that with lady luck by his side, the ten grand would be his. The energy and excitement from the audience were high and with a family plan and support, Lara refused the banker’s offer many times and at the end of the show, he was more than ecstatic about the grand prize he took home. Lara says it was a win-win game.

“How was the whole process for you playing the game? How did you know which pan to pick?”

Carlos Lara
“Well, me and my wife and my kids sat down when I got picked that we would go with my birth date which is eleven but also was the eleventh pf the first month. So everybody just decided that we’d go with eleven or one. I also had a daughter whose birthday was November the eleventh which is eleven-eleven and she had passed away. So I sad okay let’s go with that eleven. From the time I got picked I went up and I said whatever would be good because it’s a chance of paying ten dollars; you still win something and Ms. Mary even told me, under five hundred you get consolation prize. So I wasn’t going up to lose anything, I’m going up to gain small or big.”
