Jacob Diggz’s Rebel Music ready for release
Jacob Diggz is the latest artist to make his name known in the music industry. He has been playing the drum since the age of four and while living in the U.S., he had made a little known album with Tommy Boy records. But Since returning to the Jewel, Diggz has changed his lifestyle and preaches a positive message through hip hop, dancehall and reggae. Diggz is pre-releasing the first five tracks of his album Rebel Music and he stopped by our studios to tell us more about his lyrical vibes.
Jacob Diggz, Musician
“I’m getting ready to bring out my own music, my own album Rebel Music based upon my background, my lifestyle, the life that I lived then and the life that I’m living now.”
Jose Sanchez
“Rebel Music, it rings a tone of Bob Marley’s Rebel Music. Are there any similarities?”
Jacob Diggz

Jason Diggs
“Definitely, his whole purpose was to rebel against negativity and animosity and hate and it’s kind of like that same concept; rebelling against whatever is causing you to lose yourself, whatever is causing you to lose track of reality. You lose track of life in general. The music is—just like Bob used himself as an example, I kind of did the same thing; using me as an example and I noh di try fi mash nobody corn or nothing fi seh well mi bredda yoh have to get yoh mind right. I di use myself and how I got my mind right as the example of how you can do the same thing. “The Streets Gonna Hear Me” is the first song that we’re gonna release. We’re gonna be coming out with a video for that as well. the reason being that it’s the song that kinda depicts the most about the life story and the history about me as an artist, as a musician and as a person.”
The final cut of the album is expected to be released in June. Diggz, a Belmopan resident, says that this first cut of Rebel Music can be bought for eight dollars.
