Vendors move to Battlefield Park

The streets have been paved and the parking of vehicles has been relegated to one side of Albert Street. Drivers have complied, but on Friday the sidewalks which should have been only for pedestrians were still occupied by vendors. The transfer of street vendors to the Battlefield Park was a particularly prickly issue for some vendors. And today we took our cameras to the park to see if the vendors would comply with the directive of the city council. And they did. The brightly coloured stalls have been taken over by the vendors and despite the rain, we found some persons trading with the Battlefield vendors.
