Man arrested for Johnny Cake with cannabis
And in news from the courts, an electrician of Casanova Street might be facing prison time for an unusual recipe for Johnny Cake. At about twelve-thirty p.m. today, twenty-one year old Khaphian Jones, took some Johnny Cake to a friend who was in the holding cell at the Queen Street Police Station. An officer explored the Johnny cake, and in addition to butter, he found one point two grams of cannabis in the middle. Jones was taken to Magistrates’ Court to face the charge of Possession of a Controlled Drug. The marijuana chef pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined one hundred and twenty-five dollars. Jones was given until February ninth to pay the fine but if he defaults on payment he will serve one month in prison.
