Police make two drug busts in Dangriga
And in the south, in a sting operation Tuesday, Dangriga police visited a plantation where thirteen marijuana shrubs measuring two feet in height were found. The plants were being grown by thirty-four year old Hector Diaz and thirty-one year old Ricky Polanco. The two farmers of mile twenty-five on the Hummingbird Highway were arrested and charged with Cultivation of a Controlled Drug.
Another search in the Stann Creek District on the same day also resulted in a decent bust. Police Officers visited the residence of thirty-nine year old fisherman, Maurice Reynolds. Inside Reynolds’ home on the Coastal Road, police discovered two containers containing over two hundred and twenty-three grams of cannabis. At the time of the search, eighteen year old Abet Morrera was present and as a result, police arrested and charged both Reynolds and Morrera for Drug Trafficking.
