One year old dies suddenly in Corozal

Also in Corozal, police are investigating the sudden death of a one year old baby. According to twenty-one year old Denise Chable of San Roman Village, around eleven p.m. on Friday she was feeding her daughter and noticed that the baby’s belly was swollen. Chable said she massaged it, but she continued crying and so decided to take the child to the hospital. On the way, however, one year old Dalissia Chable stopped breathing and just after midnight was pronounced dead at the Corozal Hospital. On Dalissia’s body police observed rash scars and what appeared to be bruises on both legs. A post-mortem examination will be performed to determine the cause of death.
