Collision on the northern Highway
A taxi driver is recovering and is in stable condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after a traffic accident on the Northern Highway this morning. Police say the taxi driver, Daniel Itza, was injured in a collision involving his minivan and a Honda Passport, heading in the same direction and driven by Dion Robinson. Both vehicles were traveling from Belize City towards Orange Walk. Itza, police say, was on the shoulder of the road and was attempting to enter traffic when he collided with the SUV near Mile three. No charges have been filed as the matter is still under investigation.
