NEMO gets $27,000 in sleeping accessories
The hurricane season closed a month ago but preparations for the next period are already underway. This morning the U.S Southern Command based in Miami handed over to the National Emergency Management Organization sleeping accessories worth around twenty-seven thousand dollars. The items included more than five hundred cots and over a hundred sleeping bags. U.S Ambassador Robert Dieter, who is winding up his diplomatic tour in Belize, at ceremonies in Belmopan today said he was satisfied with his work with NEMO in this disaster-prone region. On hand to receive the donation was NEMO’s Chief Executive Officer Colonel George Lovell and NEMO Coordinator, Noreen Fairweather.
