2 boat owners report vessels stolen
Two Belize City boat owners have reported their vessels stolen. Fifty-one year old Galindo Perez told police that on December eighteenth he left his twenty-three foot blue and yellow fiberglass skiff along with a forty horsepower Yamaha engine at Potto Stuck Island located thirteen miles from Belize City. The boat was in the care of his employee George Angel, but on Monday Angel informed Perez that the vessel had been stolen. The skiff, named Bianca, is valued at four thousand dollars.
The other boat, a blue and white eighteen footer with forty horsepower Johnson outboard engine, was reported stolen by owner Efrin Phillips. The forty-one year old told police that the skiff went missing from the river behind the Laundromat on North Front Street between the twenty-first and twenty-fifth. The vessel and engine are valued at thirteen thousand dollars. If you have information on the whereabouts of either boats, please contact the nearest police station.
