B.W.C. says CitCo is “haad pay”

And while the heat is on for NICH President Dianne Haylock, Belize City Mayor Zenaida Moya is facing her own ongoing dilemma with overdue payments for garbage collection. A release at the close of the workday from Belize Waste Control says that the company has not received payments for garbage collection for the past five weeks. B.W.C. contends that a cheque issued to them on December sixteenth for thirty-one thousand, one hundred and sixty-four dollars for three weeks of work has not been honoured by the bank. B.W.C. alleges that the Mayor pays her brother to collect garbage without a license in the city and expresses frustration with CitCo’s inconsistent payments. News Five was unable to reach the Mayor Moya or anyone from B.W.C. for comment.
