In honor of women’s month there will be quite a bit of activities happening throughout March. This weekend alone there will be a few that just might interest you.

Tomorrow morning there will be a Bike rally in celebration of women’s month and in order to promote physical activity and spiritual unity. This is not a competition but trophies will be given for the largest team of women, Largest mixed team, youngest female rider and oldest female rider. There is no registration fee but riders are encouraged to donate a dollar in aid of the Red Cross. The race will leave off from the Corner of Western Avenue and the Western Highway.

On Saturday St Joseph R.C School will be having a fundraiser in the form of a Tea Party to be held on the school’s campus. This Tea Party will be held from 5pm until 8pm. There will be live entertainment from the Ugundani Dance group as well as musical performances by Angelo Fabro and others.

Another activity you can enjoy on Saturday and Sunday is the Belize Biltmore Plaza’s Wedding Expo. Whether you’re planning to get married in the near future or whenever; they’re putting on a display of all the different aspects of a beautiful wedding that Belize and the Biltmore has to offer. They will have booths ranging from Professional Photography to wedding night Lingerie and much more including food and Flowers; two wedding essentials. On Saturday night another activity will be held in honor of women’s month called Pumps and Dubs. This fashion show and DJ Play off will be held at the House of Culture and will feature Belizean designer wear. All the designers will be presenting their original creations. So you’ll be able to see some the talented Fashion designers Belize has to offer. But if fashion is not your thing then you’ll definitely want to head over there for the showcase of Belizean female DJs including Lady X, Linda Blease, and Brown Sugah among others. The show will begin at 8pm and tickets are available Bliss Center.

And the final activity happening this weekend in honor of women’s month will be presented by the Vista Dance studio. They will be doing a presentation this Sunday called “On with the Dance” inside the Bliss Center for the performing arts. This show will begin at 6pm.

That’s all I have for now, have an excellent weekend. Bye!
