San Pedro resident charged with Grievous Harm

Story PictureIn other news from the courts, twenty-two year old Myra Lima is accused of beating a woman and causing her to suffer a miscarriage. Lima, a resident of San Pedro, appeared in court this morning and was charged with Grievous Harm. Lima pleaded not guilty to the charge and was released on bail of one thousand five hundred dollars and will re-appear in court on January twenty-sixth. Guatemalan national Miriam Alcantara reported to police that she was near a block factory in the D.F.C. area when she was approached by Lima who grabbed and pulled her by the hair and then slapped her. Alcantara said she felt a pain and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The examining doctor said that the woman had six weeks of gestation with symptoms of miscarriage due to trauma.
