Man gets 5 years for Carnal Knowledge

He was found guilty of the carnal knowledge fifteen year old girl last week and today Rupert Flowers was sentenced to five years in prison. Before handing down the sentence to the sixty-five year old this morning, Justice Adolph Lucas heard mitigation pleas from a friend of Flowers and his son. Peter Thomas told the court that he has known Flowers for thirty years and he is a hard working and dedicated family man, while his son Donald Flowers said that his father is a good person but now finds himself in this position because of the person his father has associated with. Justice Lucas also took into consideration that Flowers has no previous convictions and that he suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure and gave him the minimum sentence. Flowers joins his forty-one year old friend Leroy Stevens, who was also been convicted of carnal knowledge of the same fifteen year old girl about two months ago and will spend six years behind bars.
