Alliance bank employees held up at ATM
But police tonight have no leads into an armed hold-up of an employee of a Belize City bank. During the broad daylight jacking, fifty year old Griffith Green was robbed of cash and personal effects after demanding the combination for the Alliance Bank ATM safe on Barrack Road. Green, who was driving along with a clerk, reportedly stopped in front of the ATM machine, and was attacked by a man who ordered them inside the ATM cubicle. Once inside, the attacker struggled with Green for his gold chain and a second attacker joined in the struggle and demanded Green’s belongings, which included his wallet containing three hundred and sixty dollars, his ATM card, credit card and cell phone. The two culprits then walked out and escaped.
