Young couple charged and jailed for illegal guns and ammo

In court news, a couple was charged with ten counts of firearm and ammunition offences after police discovered a weapons cache during a house search. Twenty-one year old Sheldon Moguel and his girlfriend, eighteen year old Anna Hunter, today appeared in Magistrates’ Court to answer to three counts of Keeping Prohibited Ammunition, two counts of Keeping Prohibited Firearm, one count of Keeping Prohibited Material for a plastic magazine, and four counts of Keeping Ammunition without a Gun License. Police say they discovered a nine millimetre gun and fifty-one rounds of accompanying bullets, a point forty-four revolver, four rounds of point thirty-eight bullets, twenty rounds of point thirty-two, and one round of point three-eighty on Thursday afternoon when they searched an apartment on Administration Drive and Bolon Avenue. The cache was found hidden under the flooring.
