Belizean disappears in Melchor
A mother in Benque Viejo Town fears the worse for her son after he mysteriously disappeared while on a shopping trip to neighbouring Melchor de Mencos. Twenty year old Nelson Chulin reportedly left his home around nine on Wednesday morning to purchase a vehicle part. But when Chulin did not return home by eleven that night his mother grew worried and called his phone, but got no response. The following morning Guatemalan police called Chulin’s mother to say that his vehicle, passport, cell phone and empty wallet had been discovered in a remote area called Camalote, about an hour and a half drive away from the Benque border on Guatemalan territory. News Five understands that Chulin had taken twenty dollars with him to purchase the vehicle part, but there are no indications that he ever made the purchase. Melchor and Benque police are working together to try and solve this mystery as to the whereabouts of Nelson Chulin.
