Woman stoned to death in Belmopan

In the second case, this time in the Belmopan area, a woman was killed when she was literally stoned to death. Her common-law husband, who was also attacked, survived the assault. At around one on Saturday afternoon police visited Costa Rica Street in the Salvapan Area where fifty year old Geralda Ramirez was found in a sitting position at the trunk of an orange tree behind a wooden house with blood on her face and upper body. Also in the yard, cops located sixty-one year old Lloyd Alfred who was injured on the face and body. Initial investigations reveal that both Ramirez and Alfred were stoned. Both were taken to the Western Regional Hospital. Ramirez succumbed to the injuries but Alfred remains hospitalized. According to a witness who is a relative of the family, around twelve-thirty, when he reached home, he spotted a Hispanic man with curly hair and dressed only in a short pants in the area where both Ramirez and Alfred were found. The person escaped into the nearby bushes. Police are now on the hunt for the murderer.

And in a third murder case, on Friday evening Corozal police visited the Little Belize Area where they found the lifeless body of an unidentified man wearing brown long pants, a green long sleeve shirt and black rubber boots. The deceased was seen lying face down, partially decomposed and with what appeared to be several bullet wounds to the chest and face area. The post mortem examination reveals that the man died three days earlier due to trauma from the gunshot wounds and up to news time, the body had still not been identified.
