5 break out of Corozal jail cell; 4 recaptured

Five prisoners escaped from the Corozal Police Station lock up on Wednesday by breaking the cell lock. The men were seen in their block at five a.m., but were discovered missing during a check only a half hour later. The five are Odilio Ortiz, William Wade, and Israel Hendricks all detained for burglary; suspected robber, Peter Locke; and Valencio Rash, who was in for murder. Police have since captured two of the escapees, while two others turned themselves in. Those four men are back behind bars, this time at the Hattieville Prison. Rash, however, is still at large and is considered to be armed and dangerous. Police believe that he is in possession of a sawed-off shotgun and are advising the public not to approach him if they see him, but to call the nearest police station.
