The biggest news on the international music scene today is the highly anticipated release of Shyne’s first song since he’s been out of prison. Moses Michael Leviy, the Belizean born rapper, signed a seven digit contract with Def Jam Records on February twenty-second when the company’s C.E.O., L.A. Reid, flew all the way to Belize to pen the documents. So now everyone is waiting for ‘Messiah’; that’s the name of track that’s expected to mark the beginning of Shyne’s big comeback. ‘Messiah’ is described as a ‘hard hitting street track’ and was released today. His lyrics it seems still longs for the street life of New York. While the artist announced that much in an exclusive with MTV news, he has not said whether Messiah is his official first single or just a warm-up record.
