2 horses dead, 1 person injured in highway collision

It is usual that traffic accidents involve vehicles, but this time it also has to do with horses. At mile thirteen on the Western Highway last night a woman was injured and the two horses were killed. Husband and wife duo, Isela and Jason Garay were reportedly heading towards Belmopan shortly after eleven last night when they crashed into two horses on the road. The impact propelled the vehicle off the road, and Isela suffered injuries to her forehead and body. She remains hospitalised in a stable condition. Both horses died at the scene and the couple’s Mazda car was extensively damaged.
