There’s a party for everyone and Safiyyah has the details

It will be a busy weekend with lots of activities for party goers and the variety range from Brukdong to old school to modern day music.  Safiyyah has a full rundown of where the parties will be, starting from tonight and throughout the weekend.

Hey I’m Safiyyah and this is what’s happening Belize.

Tonight and every Friday you can head over to the Bird’s Isle where they will be having Brukdong Fridays. This Belizean styled party will feature Kenny G and the New Creation band. This party will kick off at 10pm. The entrance fee is $10.

Another party that happens every Friday night takes place inside Palm Island. This edition of French Kiss will be called Old Skool rewind and will feature the usual DJs Tagg International, Belizean Movements and guest DJs Stone Jam.

On Saturday, the long awaited Super Mario Birthday bash will be held inside the Club Planet here in Belize City. This huge Bash will feature a performance by Supa G as well as Abner Babil, a Reggaeton Artist, Remix Berto, DJ Maricio from San Pedro and DJ Kenny. And of course there will be lots of giveaways.

And in Belmopan on Saturday night you can head over to the Twilight Lounge where they will be having a party called Girls Rush. They are calling out all the ladies to go out and party in their heel and Jeans. Music will be provided by Cloud nine sounds. There will be drink specials all night as well as giveaways and surprises.

Also in Belmopan, El Racho will be having a bash featuring New Rebels Band. They will also have music provided by Presidential Sounds; Robin, Jazzy and Fada Smith. Doors will open at 9 pm.

If you’re looking for a dosage of live music you have all weekend to get it as the Music week concludes at the Bliss Center. Tonight you can head over to see Carlos Perotte and friends performing at 8pm. And if you can’t make it out tonight, you have the opportunity to check out the Simbiosis concert happening on Saturday also at 8pm. This show will feature Manuel Obregon on the Piano with sounds and images from the rainforest. And on Sunday, there will be the grand finale of the Brukdown calypso legends. This concert will feature artist from all over the Caribbean. This concert on Sunday will be shown Live on Channel 5 if you can’t make it out. But Believe me, if you can you should head out to all three concerts and experience it live.

Here in the city on Sunday, you are invited to either take part in or just attend a talent night. This Talent night will be held inside the Art Gallery and Coffee shop located at #5757 Princess Margaret Drive. There are already quite a bit of impressive talent lined up to perform including Myrna Manzanares telling folk tales. This will all begin at 6pm on Sunday.
