UK offers donation for the I.C.J. process
Going to the I.C.J. will cost in the range of twenty million dollars, according to members of the negotiating team. And where is this money coming from? Government will be relying on various sources, including the “Group of Friends” which is a number of countries, member states of the O.A.S. and others who have been following and assisting in the process. One such country, Britain, today announced that it was providing an initial contribution of two hundred thousand pounds or almost six hundred thousand Belize dollars to the process. The announcement was made by Gillian Merron, UK Foreign Office Minister who also welcomed the signing of the special agreement.
