Fudge vendor charged with Unlawful Carnal Knowledge

In other news, forty-two year old fudge vendor, Bernard Pratt was charged with Unlawful Carnal Knowledge of a twelve year old girl. Today, Pratt appeared in front of Magistrate Aretha Ford who remanded him in custody until January ninth. No plea was taken from Pratt and due to the nature of his alleged offense, he was not offered bail.

On November twenty-fifth, the minor accompanied by her guardian, told police that between June and July of this year, Pratt allegedly had sexual intercourse with her on four different occasions and an examination has certified that the girl was carnally known. If convicted for the offence, Pratt will face a minimum sentence of twelve years imprisonment.

And in news from Orange Walk, a sixty-four year old man of San Felipe Village in the Orange Walk District was arrested and charged for the crime of Carnal Knowledge on a twelve year old child. Around ten-thirty Tuesday morning, police visited the residence of Rigoberto Lima where a twelve year old girl was found in his bedroom. Lima allegedly had sexual intercourse with the girl earlier that day.
