Sergeant Diane Brown is Police Officer of the Month
While twenty-eight men and women were inducted as special constables, today’s ceremony at the Raccoon Street Police Station was also used to honour the police officer of the month. The officer selected is not only hard working but she also has to do double duty as a single parent and mother of four. Sergeant Diane Brown expressed how she felt to be selected as Officer of the Month for November.

“What have you been doing out in the community?”

“I am in charge of one of the operation teams so on a daily basis I am out there probably you could say chasing after the criminals and trying to make the community safe.”

“How does it feel to have your fellow officers nominate you for this post?”

“Words can’t explain. I feel good, I feel very good but I can’t explain how I feel. It’s good, it’s good.”
Sergeant Brown has been with the police department for fifteen years.
