Diggidap’s shooter faces a number of charges
A renegade wanted by police for the shooting of Frederick Lynch a.k.a. “Diggidap” was today apprehended. Twenty-six year old Jervis Valencia was arrested and taken to court and charged with Attempted Murder, Grievous Harm and Use of Deadly Mean of Harm. Magistrate Albert Hoare took no plea from Valencia because the offences are indictable and Valencia was remanded to prison until December fifth.
The incident occurred at eight p.m. on October thirty-first when forty-eight year old Lynch reported to police that while at a shop on Tibruce Street, he was approached by Valencia, who put on a mask, before he fired several shots at him. Lynch was shot in both legs and on his thumb. It is alleged that Lynch is the witness in the murder trial of Edward Lord who is charged for the fatal shooting of infamous crip leader, George “Junie Balls” McKenzie. The murder trial for Lord is slated for the January session of the Supreme Court.
