Third suspect in Felix Murder case freed
The remaining murder suspect for the 2007 murder of Curlin Felix in 2007 was freed today. Three were initially charged and two Mark Vernon and Cassian Bennett, beat the murder rap in 2008. Today, the court freed Wababa Noralez, the final suspect for the murder. Wababa’s case began last week Tuesday, but today Senior Crown Council Cecil Ramirez representing the D.P.P.’s office entered a nolle prosequi against Noralez. Noralez dashed out of the magistrate’s court holding cell and ran to his freedom into a grey car that was parked nearby. While no reason was given for the nolle prose, it is known that two witnesses were to testify. One, Kevin Hendy, was murdered and the other, who initially told police that he saw the shooter and identified him also as Noralez, recanted his statement to the police. Felix also known as “Cluck-Cluck,” was gunned down on September 23, 2007, at the corner of Faber’s Road and Central American Boulevard when a lone gunman approached them and opened fired.
