High profile British attorney called to the Bar in Belize

He once served as the Attorney General for British Prime Minister Tony Blair. He is Lord Peter Goldsmith, a luminary in legal circles both in Britain and the US. And what does he have to do with Belize? Well, this morning he was called to the Belize Bar to enable him to practice law in the local courts. The former British Attorney General who left office at the same time that Blair did,  is just about the biggest name to be called to the bar here and while he may not be taking on the run of the mill cases, it is expected that he will be appearing in high profile cases. When we checked on his background, we found voluminous information but one thing that stood out was the opinion he wrote on the legality of the use of force in the Iraq war.
