25 cents dispute ends in Aggravated Assault with Firearm
Also in the Magistrates’ Court, a dispute over twenty-five cents has landed a businessman in jail. The incident in question occurred around six p.m. on Monday when seventeen year old Jason Lamb went to purchase Boledo at Kim’s #1. Lamb says he paid for his numbers and was supposed to receive twenty-five cents change and told shopkeeper Kim Terry to give him a bag of chips instead. The construction worker says Terry ignored him and so he took some tamarind sweets from a jar on the counter. When a struggle ensued between the two, Lamb says her husband Richard Terry intervened and hit him on the forehead with a gun. Forty-one year old Richard Terry appeared in court this morning to be arraigned on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. He was remanded into custody until December nineteenth.
