Sleeping policeman loses service revolver

Story PictureWith all the crime, a police officer who fell asleep on the job is now facing his peers. Since the officer dozed off in the company of Belize Defence Soldiers and a police officer, you would think he was safe. Well think again because this is what happened to twenty-four year old Police Constable Daniel Pech who was posted at the checkpoint at mile four along with B.D.F. officer Felis Sho and Privates Aubrey Cadle and Lammy Alvarez. At about two-fifteen a.m. on Saturday P.C. Pech reportedly placed his police issued point thirty-eight revolver and six live rounds next to his head and fell asleep. About an hour later Pech’s gun and ammunition were missing. No one could explain and details of what happened to the weapon are sketchy but about five-thirty a.m. on November fifteenth, Pech called the police to report the robbery. Police are taking no chances and have detained all four: Pech, Alvarez, Cadle and Sho.
