Tyrone Gentle charged with Attempted Murder
In an update to a story last night, twenty-one year old Tyrone Gentle, the alleged shooter who fired several shots at Austin Rowland was charged today. Gentle appeared in the court of Chief Magistrate Margaret Gabb to be arraigned on charges of Attempted Murder and Damage to Property. Due to the nature of the offence, no plea could be accepted and bail was not offered. As a result, Gentle was remanded to prison until December twelfth. The incident in question occurred around four this past Saturday when, according to Rowland, he was in his car on Pelican Street waiting for someone. Rowland says a man charged at him with a pistol and fired shots at the vehicle. Rowland identified that man as Gentle, but according to other sources, Gentle was not the shooter and it is a case of mistaken identity.
