Five men arraigned for brutal graveyard murder
Twenty year old Randy Coye was brutally beaten and murdered in the Lord Ridge Cemetery last Friday night. Five men were arraigned today and are facing charges for the homicide. Brandon Smith, Kenroy Humes, Leon Gray, Deshawn Mena and Edwin Flowers filed into the court of Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie and all of them except Flowers were charged with Murder. Flowers, however, did face one count of Conspiracy to Commit Murder along with the rest of the group and was additionally charged with Abetment to Commit Murder. The men, who appeared unrepresented, were informed that no plea would be taken and they would be further notified of a date for their preliminary inquiry to determine if their case would to the Supreme Court. They have all been remanded to the Hattieville Prison until November tenth. Coye’s body was discovered in the cemetery on Monday and was initially believed to have died from being bashed to the head with a bible headstone. A post mortem later confirmed that Coye was shot several times and one of those shots went to his heart
