Dancing, bingo, and art exhibit are what’s happening in Belize

Story PictureDo you like dancing, bingo, chicken wings or art? Then listen up because tonight’s edition of What’s Happening Belize has got them all.

Hey I’m Safiyyah and this is What’s Happening Belize.

This weekend the P.T.A. of Bishop Martin High School in Orange Walk would like to invite all high school and sixth form students to their Disco Night. It will be held inside the La Immaculada Auditorium and the party will run from seven p.m. to eleven-thirty p.m. The entrance is only five dollars and there will be special Virgin drinks prepared that night for all the students. They will have Strawberry daiquiris, Piña coladas, and margaritas all on sale for only three dollars. To enter, you must have a valid ID or demerit card. So remember to check out the Bishop Martin disco night this Saturday.

If you are an art fan then you should go over to the Mexican Cultural Institute where the Art work of renowned artist Pen Cayetano is now on display. The exhibit, titled Belize Bowl Race, was opened on Thursday and will remain open until the twenty-seventh of November.

On the fourteenth of November S.C.A. Alumnae association invites you to their Bingo night. It will be held on the S.C.A. Campus and will run from five-thirty p.m. to ten p.m. They will have light snacks and drinks on sale.

And next weekend you have to look out for a car race extravaganza being held in the Corozal Free Zone, where Belize car clubs; Royal Cars and Xclusive will be racing against Mexican car clubs. I will tell you more about it next week and even show you some of the hot cars that will be participating in the races.

Before I get to the food of the week, I just have to tell you about the third annual Boat Lighted Parade being held in San Pedro on the sixth of December. The committee is inviting anyone with a boat to join in on the fun and fill your boat with lights. There will be plenty of prizes to go around. For more information you can call Glenn at 223-1756 or Jan at 226-2689. I will bring you more information as we get closer to the event.
