Bze Bank, Chamber of make generous donations for relief

With recovery efforts still underway, the Belize Bank today handed over ten thousand dollars to the Belize Red Cross to assist flood victims of tropical depression sixteen. The contribution will be used to purchase cleaning supplies, baby items and canned goods for affected persons in the Cayo and Orange Districts as well as the Belize River Valley. Belize Bank’s Misty Michael delivered the funds to Lily Bowman of the Red Cross.

Meanwhile, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Western Union today made a generous donation of fifty thousand to the Red Cross for the recovery efforts. The donation matches an equal amount given by various businesses and individuals.
