Robberies reported on Euphrates and Neal’s Pen Road

A Chinese bus passenger, fifty-one year old Siu Chin Yin, was robbed while waiting for her fare to get home. The Burrell Boom resident told police that on Friday afternoon at around two-forty as she sat in a Rancho bus parked on Euphrates Avenue, she was approached by two men; one who pointed a firearm at her and stole her bag. The bag, according to Yin, contained her personal documents, items and eighty dollars in cash. The robbers have still not been detained, but police are looking for one, Leroy ‘Red Ants’ Rhaburn of Taylor’s Alley Area in relation to the incident.

And in another robbery, thirty-one year old, Jasheed Avila of a Neal’s Pen Road address was robbed in broad daylight. According to Avila, while at a neighbour’s house he was approached by two dark-skinned men who wore masks. Avila says that one of the men, armed with a pump action shot gun, pointed it at him while the other searched him. The robbers got away with a cell phone and one hundred and fifty dollars in cash. Police are investigating.
