Man beats murder rap when witness fails to appear
In the Supreme Court today, twenty-one year old, Telswin Lara was freed of murder charges for the fatal stabbing of Bakary Logan. A nolle prosequi was entered when the only eyewitness to the crime was unavailable to testify, giving Lara a free ticket out of jail. The murder occurred on December twenty-ninth, 2006, on Antelope Street when Lara allegedly had an argument with Logan which led to a fight. After dust settled, Logan had received fatal stab wounds to his face, chest, neck, shoulder and forearm.
