Benny’s makes sizeable donation to NEMO

Big and small, they are all lending a helping hand and today a number of businesses and organisations reached out to the communities affected by the floods of Tropical Depression sixteen. The impact on the livelihood of thousands has been severe and every cent helps. The NEMO Emergency Relief Fund has received a cheque for thirty thousand dollars courtesy of Benny’s Group of Companies. Smart Belize, meanwhile, has pledged to donate five thousand dollars to the Red Cross in support of its school supplies program. And to assist with the flood relief efforts, the Scout Association of Belize will be conducting a National Food Drive on November first and its members will be walking the streets of Belize soliciting donations of canned goods and toiletries.
