Belizeans are #1 going into regional nutrition quiz finals

On Tuesday we told you about four students who were preparing to compete in the Caribbean Regional Nutrition Quiz Competition. Tonight we are happy to report that at the end of round three Belize is ‘numero uno’. Beating out thirteen other countries, the Belizean delegation now prepares to head to St. Kitts on November twenty-fourth to face off with Antigua in the fourth and final round for the regional championship. The first three rounds were conducted over the past two days via teleconference at the U.W.I. distance Education Center. We are told that the competition was tight but in the end Belize came out on top. The four students Pedro Garcia, Gaby Miranda, Edgardo Serrut and Santiago Hernandez were selected from the top three schools that participated in the national A.D.M. Belize Mills Secondary School Nutrition Quiz Competition held in March of this year.
