Chicken prices go down by six cents per pound
But there is some good news to report that will ease, at least to some extent, the financial burdens on households across the country. The Belize Poultry Association announced today a drop in the wholesale price of whole and dressed chicken. According to the Association, because of a reduction in prices of feed inputs, they have been able to bring down the price of the bird. The new price is two dollars and thirty-eight cents per pound, down from two dollars forty-four cents, a drop of six cents per pound.
