Dave’s Furniture World robbery suspect charged
Also in court, a third suspect was charged today for the September eighteenth Robbery at Dave’s Furniture World. Eighteen year old Kevin Abraham is believed to be one of three men who stormed the store at the corner of Tigris and Basra Streets and held the proprietor, Lelahnie Habet at gunpoint. The men also allegedly robbed the store and an employee, Odette Robateau, of a total of just over five hundred dollars in cash. Abraham was charged with two counts of Robbery, to which he pleaded not guilty and was denied bail. Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie ordered Abraham, who was unrepresented, to return to court on October twenty-second. The other suspects are a thirteen year old minor and eighteen year old Dwayne Evelyn, who were jointly charged with two counts of Robbery four days after the incident.
